How much of my car donation actually reaches the charity?
Many programs return as little as 25%. Here's how to read the fine print and make sure your vehicle does the most good.
May 18, 2026 · 6 min readToo many vehicle donation programs keep the lion's share of what a car is worth. We started Helping Hands Charity Services to flip that, returning the largest possible share to the organizations doing the work while making the whole thing painless for donors.

Helping Hands Charity Services connects donors with causes and fundraises for organizations by working with their supporters: picking up vehicles, selling them for the best possible price, and sending the proceeds onward.
What sets us apart is how we price. Before we collect a vehicle, our network of vendors competes on price. We bring the donor the highest bid first, then ask whether they'd like to move forward. No guesswork, no lowball surprises.
The result is a program that fundraisers love and donors trust, built on transparency from the very first call.
A family business focused on delivering a superior donor experience and the best results for its nonprofits.

Hajar holds a Master's in Digital Marketing from Audencia Business School (Nantes, France). Hajar leads brand, digital marketing, and nonprofit campaign management for HHCS.

Founder & Head of Donor Relations
Mary Beth is a University of Tulsa alum and has spent the last 15 years in the car donation industry. It was at her prior company that she realized the industry was full of companies taking the lion's share of the proceeds from donated vehicles, leaving nonprofits with very little in the end. Mary Beth and Michael started HHCS in 2018 to fix the issue and have never looked back. Mary Beth is responsible for interacting with HHCS' donors and gives each and every one the personal experience they deserve.

Director of Marketing & Social Media
Grace is a UCLA alum and the latest addition to the HHCS leadership team. She supports both Hajar and Mary Beth in the Marketing and Donor Relations divisions.
